Passenger coach information update 客车

Main routes are gradually back to regular service since March 3. Chongqing North Railway Station South Square Bus Station opened again on March 9, with a trial opening-hour from 7:00-19:00. For now, these Inter-provincial and inter-county routes remain operational in South Square Station.

However, From March 10th, traffic restriction measures will be taken on the road section around the South Square of North Railway Station

All lines are functioning as usual. Five stops that were closed days ago ( Guanyinqiao Stop, Nanping Stop, Linjiangmen Stop, Yangjiaping Stop, and Shapingba Stop), have now resumed.

Februrary 9th update: all taxis in the central city are back to regular service

DiDi ride hailing service is functioning as usual, but a mask is required. You may encounter longer wait-times so it is recommended to try to book a didi ahead of time if going to the airport or a long-distance journey.

A mask is required for both passengers and drivers.

Entertainment & Catering 娱乐与餐饮业

Since March 8th, some of the restaurants have been back to operations, but no dine-in is allowed, only take-away.

Update:　Many restaurants are now allowed to receive diners. Please check with the restaurant in advance for the most updated info.

Entertainment venues like bars, net-bars, and tea houses are still closed

Hotels 酒店

Two hotels have been designated to take guests coming from Hubei and other provinces who has no residence in Yubei District and yet can't leave: Vienna Hotel and Shengming International Hotel.

Most hotels will do temperature checks. Please check with your hotel if they are operating as usual, as some may close or change their policy due to the circumstances.

Shopping 购物

All supermarkets which guarantee necessary living supplies are open.

Meituan and other delivery services are operational. They might not be allowed inside your community due to stricter rules,. Still, we have received reports of deliveries to the door without issue.

Jingdong Home Delivery (京东到家) can also be used to deliver groceries from Walmart and Yonghui Bravo.

Important notice:

People who are at the end of their visa stay or residence permit validity but who can not leave China because of virus restrictions will automatically get a two-month extension on their residence permit, to allow for extra time to leave the country and go back to their home country or onward destination without overstaying their current (and last) residence permit or visa. Please note that this does NOT apply to people who intend to renew their residence permit — they can apply for the extension as per the usual procedure at the Entry and Exit Bureau.
